Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs

OK. Cool Less than half the wattage used with only a tiny chance of mercury poisoning.

Sounds like a DEAL!

It will not fit in my favorite table lamp. I guess it is designed to make people to buy all new lamps.

Also the CFL puts off a greenish tint light that will be great for growing molds and fungus in your bathrooms.

  1. Not only that, but they also:
    1) DO NOT last as long as a half dozen or more incandescant bulbs - maybe three if you're lucky and at that price there is no savings;
    2) require an EPA recommended step-by-step clean up process if ypu break one in the house (read it here at http://www.epa.gov/mercury/spills/index.htm#fluorescent)
    3) the three ways are absolute crap.

  2. And besides that, what is with that weird twisty filament thingie? Looks like it was designed to be screwed into your butt by a crazy proctologist.
