Larry Donnell Davis Executed

Justice was Served.
WASHINGTON (AFP) — A 40-year-old convicted of orchestrating and participating in the fatal stabbing and beating of a man during a 1995 robbery was executed by lethal injection in the state of Texas, officials said.

Larry Davis was put to death at Huntsville Prison at 6:19 pm Thursday local time (2319 GMT), a representative of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice told AFP.

Davis was accused of entering the Amarillo, Texas home of Michael Barrow with several conspirators and killing Barrow, who was stabbed with a knife and an ice pick and beaten with a pipe.

Davis had proclaimed he was innocent of planning and carrying out the murder.

When it gets hot in Jacksonville

The Locals go crazy.

10 Homicides Mark Violent Week In Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- With several shootings, a fatal stabbing, a carjacking and a home invasion all in just five days, it seems Jacksonville is a city under siege, overrun by armed criminals who operate without regard for life or law.

The most recent example was a home invasion early Friday morning that police said involved a 15-year-old boy armed with a sawed-off shotgun.

Police said the teen and two others forced their way into a Southside home on Beach Boulevard and stole thousands of dollars in computers and electronics before stealing a car and ramming an officer's vehicle.

The officer opened fire and hit the 15-year-old, who remains in the hospital, in the week's second police-involved shooting and just the latest incident in what the mayor and sheriff called a war.

The carnage began on Sunday and continued all week. In the last five days, there have been 10 homicides. Officers have been injured, victims killed and two violent suspects have been shot by police.

Magic powers

Magic power vs. firing squad; firing squad wins.

Indonesian executed for killing 42 females

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) -- Indonesia executed a man convicted of killing 42 women and girls in a series of ritual slayings he believed would give him magical powers, his lawyer said Friday.

Maybe he should have tried to steal the Sankara Stones instead.

Ahmad Suradji, 57, was killed by firing squad late Thursday in western Indonesia despite a last minute appeal by Amnesty International, a U.K.-based human rights advocacy group that opposes capital punishment in all cases.

"He appeared resigned to his fate," said Attorney General Office's spokesman Bonaventura Nainggolan. "His final wish was to see his wife. We fulfilled this."

Suradji was arrested in May 1997 following the discovery of a body in a field close to this house in Lubukpakan, a village in North Sumatra province. Forty-one other corpses were later found nearby.

Police have said the victims came to Suradji because they believed he had supernatural powers. The victims were believed to have been seeking his help in making their husbands or boyfriends faithful, find a partner or get rich.

He lured them to the field and buried them up to the waist, telling them it was part of the ritual. He then strangled them and buried their bodies with the heads pointing toward his house.

He has told police he believed the 11-year killing spree would boost his magical powers

What gives me a little hope about Iraq

This is what gives me hope about Iraq.

There is an interesting piece of graffiti on a bridge near Basra. A fleeing militiaman has scrawled “We'll be back”; underneath an Iraqi soldier has scribbled in reply “And we'll be waiting for you”.

More noise from The International Court of Justice

The World court continues to make noise about illegal aliens on Texas Death Row.

If the world court has so much time to listen to the whining of the Mexican Government, then why is it the world court does not go after the UN for the sex for food scandal in Africa? It could spend years cleaning up the corrupt anti-Israel officials in this silly organization.

Hell no, They want to try and impose law on America about how the murdering scums did not receive consular services. Did the two girls (under 18 years old) that were gang raped and murdered get consular services?

UN World Court sets deadline for US submissions in Mexican executions case.

22 July 2008 – The International Court of Justice (ICJ), the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, today said that the United States has until 29 August to file written observations on the request for interpretation submitted by Mexico regarding the five Mexican nationals held on death row in US prisons.
If they were Mexican nationals, then why were they in Texas murdering law abiding American citizens?

Mexico brought the case against the US, charging that the five men were not allowed Mexican consular services after they were arrested, in violation of international agreements signed by both parties.

Obviously the lawyers felt they did not need the losers in the Mexican consular services to help with the defense.

The court had earlier ruled that the US was in breach of its international obligations but some US authorities ignored the ICJ ruling on technical grounds, prompting Mexico to file a request for interpretation.

So they still want to order Texas around.

Last week, the ICJ ordered the US to delay the executions of the five prisoners until the court issues a final ruling on the matter, and to inform it of the measures it is taking to implement the order. Judgments of the ICJ, also known as the World Court, are binding and cannot be appealed.

Why the World Court should shut the hell up and Jose Medellin should be executed

Regardless of what the pitiful UN World Court of appeasers may say Texas has not backed away from executing that monster known as Jose Medellin. The World Court has no business telling any other government how to deal with convicted murderers. If you are here illegally and you commit such a heinous crime you should be shot and dumped in the local land fill.

It is my thought we should send the convict's remains to Mexico for burial.
July 16, 2008 - The principal judicial organ of the United Nations today ordered the United States to delay the executions of five Mexican nationals on death row in its prisons until the court issues a final ruling on the matter.
What do you think of that "principle judicial organ" line?  Silly huh.

Source: Here.

Why Jose Medellin should already be dead:
Elizabeth Pena, 16, and Jennifer Ertman, 14, spent the evening of 24 June 1993, at the swimming pool of a friend's apartment complex in Houston. As their midnight curfew approached, they debated the fastest route to Pena's home. They decided to follow the railroad tracks through a city park.

That same evening, eight young men were in the park participating in a gang initiation ritual. Raul Villareal, 17, was being initiated into the Black and White gang. The other gang members present were O'Brien, Peter Cantu, and Jose Medellin - all 18 - Efrain Perez, 17, and Roman Sandoval. Frank Sandoval and Vernancio Medellin, brothers of two of the gang members, were also present. The initiation consisted of Villareal fighting each of the other gang members for several minutes. Following this ritual, they drank beer.
The complete story here.

Derrick Sean O'Brien: Executed on July 11th 2006. Last Statement
Peter Cantu still has appeals pending.
Jose Medellin AKA Joe Medellin, AKA Jose Ernesto Medellin Rojas has an Execution Date set on 08/05/2008.

Efrian Perez: Commuted to life because of age (17 at the time of murders.)
Raul Omar Villareal: Commuted to life because of age (17 at the time of murders.)

The Lone Star State Stands Tall

The world court has no business in making this ridiculous order.

“This ruling doesn’t change anything,” said Mr. Perry’s spokeswoman, Allison Castle. “This is an individual who brutally gang-raped and murdered two teenage women. We don’t really care where you are from; you can’t do that to our citizens.”

God Bless Texas.

To the homeland of illegal aliens and the world court

This includes the Government of Mexico.

Texas deserves to kill every single one of those illegal murdering little bitches.
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — The U.N.'s highest court ordered U.S. authorities on Wednesday to do everything possible to halt the executions of five Mexicans in Texas until their cases are reviewed.

The Bush administration has unsuccessfully tried to get Texas courts to review the cases and said it expected the World Court's order to have little impact.
It's funny to me but the UN has absolutely no authority in the USA. So why are they even ordering Texas around?

I hope Texas tells them to "Shove It Partner".

He claims innocence in honor killing

"I have done nothing wrong," Chaudhry Rashid told Chief Magistrate Daphne Walker at his Tuesday hearing through interpreter Younis Farhat, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

I guess he has trouble with English. I wonder how long he has lived in this country?

Rashid, 54, who speaks primarily Urdu and Punjabi, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his 25-year-old daughter Sandeela Kanwal. She was found strangled to death with a bungee cord Sunday in the family's Jonesboro, Ga., home.

Police said Rashid was so angered that his daughter planned to divorce her husband that he killed her after a heated argument at the family's home, FOX News affiliate MyFOXAtlanta reported.

Of course he won't be eating like other prisoners I say bread and water.

During Tuesday's hearing, Rashid told the judge he wanted to observe his Muslim beliefs while in jail, including a diet that forbids the consumption of pork, the paper said.

Drug laced treats given to Police Department.

We have read the stories of some scum bag doing something to a Police Officer's food at the drive through but this guy should never see freedom again (Read as locked up for the rest of his sorry life.)

He probably didn't learn this recipe in Home Ec.

And don't count this as community service, either.

Police say Christian Phillips, 18, delivered baked cookies and candy to several Texas police departments and said he was with Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Instead, the treats were apparently laced with drugs and got at least three officers sick.

As the story continues it seems he wanted to take out most of the Police Force.

At another Texas department, police found traces of marijuana in the baked goods.

Phillips was arrested and charged with possession of LSD.

He apparently told police that he didn't put anything in the goods, but that a friend might have been smoking marijuana while he cooked.

I guess he was taking her temperature?

This is really a bad thing to do:
A 38-year-old Sunstar paramedic was arrested on a sexual battery charge Wednesday after being accused of assaulting a woman in an ambulance that was taking her to a hospital, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office officials say.
It makes you wonder if he dropped something?
In a police interview, Livingston said it was not medically necessary to touch the woman in that manner.
What were you thinking Dude? I could expect this from a 20 year old.

Deep Reading Exercise

In Daniel Henninger’s article The Politics of Can't-Possibly-Do he describes how much has been lost or forgotten in the 7 years since the attack on the World Trade Center.

In a few months we'll arrive at the seventh year after the events of September 11, 2001. All can recall the coming together of the nation in the aftermath, and then how the coming together fell apart.
He also draws a comparison to the fact that as long as we leave the hole in the ground the terrorists win.

It is arguably the greatest political and bureaucratic fiasco in the history of the world. Remember the line about how if we don't rebuild the towers "the terrorists will win"? The terrorists will be dead of old age before this project is finished.

I for one do not want the terrorists to win, but given half the country is insane, it looks like this battle may not be winnable.

Like this one:

PALATKA, Fla. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding a woman who is missing and who might be a victim of a crime.

Deputies said Brenda Horn, 31, was with her boyfriend, Kenneth Mike Tilley, of Daytona Beach, when she disappeared.

Tilley told investigators that they stole a car in Volusia County on Friday night and drove through Putnam County into Clay County. Deputies found Tilley on Sunday morning, passed out in that car, parked along U.S. Highway 17.

Tilley told Clay County investigators that he was using methamphetamine, he got into an argument and he beat Horn.

"He said 'I believe we had an altercation and that I beat her badly and probably left her for dead behind a convenience store, and I believe in Putnam County," Putnam County Sheriff Dean Kelly said.

Deputies took Tilley to Hall's Superette and Deli in Bostwick, which he identified as being the store.

Deputies did not find Horn or any sign of a struggle.

Meth freaks, you gatta love em.  The "I believe we had an altercation" line cracks me up; who ever heard of a methhead knowing what an "altercation" is?

Don't get me wrong I hope the girl is OK, But was the guy delusional?
